Ambassador's Committee

Focus: Reaching out to Chamber members, by inviting new members, ribbon cuttings, Business After Hours, providing members with chamber information. The Rock of Gold and Market Place of Ideas have come out of this committee. This committee meets at noon on the 1st Thursday of the month at a different restaurant each month.

Retail Merchant's Committee

Focus to assist retail merchants with activities and programs.

Events such as sidewalk sales, Old Fashion Days and the 2nd Friday events. Chair and co-chair of this committee collect info and feedback through surveys and face-to-face visits with retailers. This committee meets upon request.

Business & Organizational Development Committee

The Business & Organizational Development Committee provides education and training programs for business owners, managers, organization leaders and support staff, and supports the efforts of other community organizations involved in business assistance.  The overall goal is to enhance the operational effectiveness of its members in order for them to achieve a higher level of profitability, growth and capacity.  To achieve this goal, the Chamber provides and supports membership-driven, effective, affordable, and timely educational programs. This committee meets when needed but communicates mostly by e-mail.

Legislative Committee

This committee is responsible for monitoring, evaluating and helping to formulate legislative issues, holds forums with local and state governmental officials, evaluates ballot issues that affect local businesses and the community and makes recommendations to the Chamber Board for endorsements. It helps to develop policy on issues, legislation, regulations and other governmental actions that affect the membership and the community.

Public Relations & Tourism Committee

Focus: to promote chamber members through communication and events.

Mission: this committee does the 2nd Friday events and the Christmas Tree Lighting; they meet the 4th Monday of each month at noon at the chamber. This committee also assists retail merchants with activities and events and listens to the concerns of area retailers.
